Who We Are
About Me
I am an experienced English teacher, having begun my career in education with Teach First back in 2017. I have a true passion for fostering a love of both literature and language in my students. I hold a BA (Hons) English Literature degree and I have a PGDE in Secondary English; both of which allow me to provide an enriching and supportive learning environment for my students. Having taught in public and private sector schools, in the UK and abroad, I have successfully guided learners of various ages and abilities in literature and language. I have also examined for GCSE exam boards, so I thorough and confident understanding of exam requirements.
Prior to teaching, I worked within the marketing industry for higher education and further education. I also supported young people in securing apprenticeship opportunities once they finished school. All of my experience combined, gives me an excellent understanding of the entire learning journey, from school level and beyond.
Flying Colours Tuition
I launched Flying Colours Tuition as it combines my two passions: learning and English. My aim is to create a space that is accessible to all and to provide our students with tailored support that helps them to achieve and exceed their academic goals. In doing so, we strive to build confidence in our students by enhancing their writing skills, developing critical thinking and fostering a love for this wonderful subject.
Through interactive lessons, Flying Colours Tuition aims to make English enjoyable, whether it's for exam preparation, improving comprehension skills, or simply exploring the joy of reading. Our goal is to empower students to achieve their academic ambitions while nurturing their creativity and analytical skills.
